STUDENT: Musicians who are registered in an accredited school, college or university may join the Local as Student Members without paying either Local or Federal initiation fees.
YOUTH: Musicians twenty years or younger may join the Local as Youth Members without paying either Local or Federation initiation fees.

To qualify for Life Member Status you are at least 65 years of age and have been a member of an American Federation of Musicians Local or Locals for 35 years. Youth and Students are not eligible for Life Membership.
